MANSFIELD CANINE CENTRE
ABOUT US
We run a specialist canine centre in Mansfield, run by a family-oriented team with experience in care for dogs, canine hydrotherapy, dog agility training, obedience training, and dog boarding. We're also dog lovers with adorable and energetic bundles of fun of our own with a passion to provide the best possible care for your dogs.
Our centre is purpose built with two large units, with room for dogs of all sizes. Our main daycare room, nicknamed “Big Paws” is split into two separate areas, both equipped with all kinds of fun play equipment such as ball pools, beds and rest areas, doggy safe swings and other comfortable furniture for all dogs to enjoy. Each area has access to outdoor space where the dogs can enjoy fresh air during their stay, exciting outdoor equipment such as paddling pools and sand pits, plus space to do their business and continue their usual good toiletting routine.
In addition to the Big Paws room, we also have “Small Paws” which is the home of our fabulous canine hydrotherapy pool, available for both medical and leisure swims, plus a changing room for customers, a seating area and some of our grooming facilities.
Our centre also consists of a dedicated feeding area for lunchtime for our doggy day care guests, an isolation room in case any dogs get sick during their stay and a reception area.
We're sure we've covered everything to give your dog a great time until they get to go home with you, and our aims are to make sure your pooch is safe and well cared for, and gets all the time they need to play, rest and run free.
We’re delighted to reveal that we have been given the maximum star rating by the DEFRA licensing authorities of Mansfield District Council, of 5 stars for daycare! We have left no stone unturned to ensure we have done everything to ensure our centre excels in all areas so that you and your dog are getting the absolute best service.
Get in touch with us today for peace of mind for you and endless fun for your dog.
We have also taken great lengths to ensure the security of our centre. We have CCTV covering all areas both indoors and outdoors, a locked reception door with an intercom system and a process to positively identify visitors to the centre who are collecting dogs.

MEET THE TEAM

Owners - Nathan and Emma
For many years it has been Nathan and Emma’s absolute dream to work with and care for dogs. By putting together Nathan’s business background and Emma’s experience in dog training, the Mansfield Doggy Day Care Centre was born. The pair spent just shy of 2 years searching Mansfield and surrounding areas extensively to find that perfect location and premises, with the centre opening its doors for the first time in February 2020. From day one it has been their mission to provide a unique and exciting new service to the area where quality of care is the absolute priority, whilst also boosting the local economy by providing jobs for local people in a fantastic industry. Dogs have been a vital part of Emmas life growing up as she enjoyed high levels of both participating and leading agility sessions, a hobby which she continued alongside her studies to become a staff nurse. Emma then spent over 5 years working hard for our national health service however always had the desire to follow her dreams to work with dogs, she consequently completed the level 3 in dog day care and boarding and is currently training towards becoming a certified Pro Dog Trainer.

General Manager - Cathy
Cathy has much experience having previously ran her own successful home based dog boarding and day care business, which she eventually had to give up following the birth of her daughter, however it has always been her ambition to return to the job that she loves and has especially always had a passion to bring a centre based doggy day care to the area. Since being a little girl, Cathy has always had a real love for all animals especially dogs. During her later childhood years, she was often out on dog walks in her spare time, whether it be voluntary or simply for a pound, and also spent time in her teens working at a pet shop, before then going on to gain valuable knowledge and experience whilst working at K9 magazine. This eventually lead her into starting up her own dog walking and boarding business where she focused on reward based training and was able to help many dogs with social anxiety, recall, toilet training and much more.
